"Watching you model the creative process, and working in a different, more physical way, allowed us to discover something new and interesting about ourselves and the world.”

moving Through justice

This program introduces principles of environmental justice though a series of interactive movement, writing, viewing and reflective experiences. We then consider the implications on a local, regional or global issue or how these can play out in a subject matter or curriculum.

Originally devised for the New York City Arts and Education Roundtable, this workshop has been given in community settings, as a team building experience for coalitions, and as professional development for educators and administrators.

Spurring classroom creativity

A professional development series providing educators, staff and administrators with approaches and tools to integrate arts practices and aesthetic inquiry into their teaching and classrooms. Creativity and innovation are necessary traits in any field and incorporating artistic approaches can assist in opening minds and moving in new directions.

Our Director, Lynn Neuman, has worked with professors and students enrolled in Masters of Education programs at Hunter College, Bank Street College of Education, and The City College of New York.
