GOWANUS VISIONS: A Festival of Art and Action

  • Gowanus Canal: Water Front/Sponge Park 165 2nd Street Brooklyn, NY, 11231 United States (map)

GOWANUS VISIONS: A Festival of Art and Action is an exciting, community centered series that offers educational and participatory activities, performances along the Gowanus Canal featuring local art, and artists, visual art that reflects the current state of the canal, and a community celebration with DJ’s for Climate Action .

During the GOWANUS VISIONS FESTIVAL we also celebrate Global Water Dances Day to raise awareness about the canal superfund remediation and impending rezoning of the Gowanus neighborhood.

As part of the activities leading to the GOWANUS VISIONS FESTIVAL, Artichoke Dance hosts a series of FREE DANCE and TRASHION WORKSHOPS in Brooklyn. Participants of the workshops will have the opportunity to perform during the Festival on June 15th.

All Festival Activities are Free and Open to the Public.
