We had a wonderful time hosting a Community Beach Clean Up of Manhattan Beach last weekend.
The item most collected was miscellaneous plastic pieces at 782 pieces, in all shapes, sizes and colors. This finding support reports about the hazards of plastics and it’s infiltration into the environment. http://www.oneworldoneocean.com/initiatives/PlasticsBreakdown
The next most collected item, was plastic bottle caps, coming in at 615.
The total weight collected was 142 pounds!
